Shore News Beacon (SNB) covers breaking news in the Maryland counties of Worcester, Wicomic, Dorchester, Talbot, Queen Anne's, Caroline and the Delaware counties of Sussex and Kent. Breaking news outside the region is covered as needed as well. Dave Beacon started SNB in late 2016 and has provided the area with over 5 years of continuous coverage of breaking news and information.
In 2016 when Dave Beacon created Shore News Beacon (SNB) the goal was to improve the delivery of breaking news to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and the lower 2 counties of Delaware. Dave was able to grow a folllowing of over 80,000 followers by early 2022 and felt that the concept for SNB could be used in different locations. Currently plans are in the early stages to create other Beacon News sites across the country. These other sites will all operate under the supervision and guidance of the Beacon Info Network
